How psychological determinants affect employee's turnover intention in Saigon Cafe Restaurant?
Abstract
Due to the lack of employees in the Saigon Café Restaurant in the current
moment, the researcher had conducted a case study to investigate how determinants from
psychological model can affect the intention of leaving the restaurant.
In the findings chapter, the researcher found that the employees in Saigon Café
Restaurant decided to resign or to develop the consideration of leaving due to three
determinants, psychological contract and job satisfaction had the most influences to the
turnover intention. As for psychological contract, the factors affected employees‟
intentions were no trust, no appreciation and imposition in the manager-employee
relationship as well as the unclear in acknowledging employees‟ contributions. As for job
satisfaction, no freedom in giving opinions, no freedom in working, the unsatisfied
payment, no participation, the unfair between morning shift and evening shift and other
factors- co-workers, promotion- are the factors that influences employees‟ minds in
considering whether to leave or stay.
Finally, some recommendations for further research and organization are
proposed for scholars and superiors from Saigon Café Restaurant.
