The effect of green human resource management on hotel employee's green ability and satisfaction
Abstract
Purpose: The hotel managers wonder whether or not addressing the employee’s
emotional desire for environmental concerns can impact positively employee behaviors
through understanding green practices. The main purpose of this study is to work over the
interactive effect of administration-focused green practice and employee satisfaction
through employee green ability as well as extend the organization’s awareness of green
Human Resource.
Design: The research’ conceptual model is the remodeling of the AMO theory
among green practice by Nhat Tan Pham (Pham et al., 2019) and the green ability
achieved by Wu (Wu et al., 2016). As a recommendation of an appropriate method, the
quantitative technique is utilized to quantify data and generalize population sample
findings. Total of 353 respondents, who are the employee of four to five star hotel located
in Ho Chi Minh City, was employed to investigate the sustainable observation.
Findings: After conducting a descriptive analysis of statistics, the results present
that Green Practice put a practical influence on Employee Green Skill and Green
Awareness. Simultaneously, this research extends the analysis on finding the most
efficient path for enhancing Employee Job Satisfaction through various dimensions.
Green Training represents investigated factors that keep a significant role in helping
Hotel managers obtain Employee Satisfaction.
Practical Implication: The long-term development of Green Human Resource
will deliver a deeper understanding of the environmental problem for hotel employees at
any level. It is necessary for hoteliers to make an effort on adapting green attribute
directly into their enterprise to build up a green hotel industry.
