dc.description.abstractThis study aims at objective to offer some suggestions to find an optimum solution for entrepreneurs when they choose and start their businesses: starting a business from scratch or buying a franchise, because there are many types of business model and entrepreneurs may know that they want to start a business, but don't know what exact business model they want to start. This thesis will especially focus on analyzing and comparing funding request for starting each business model and branding advantages of Xoi Bar and Pho 24, which Xoi Bar is a kind of business started from scratch, and Pho 24, a Vietnam owned chain of fast-food franchised stores, is a well-known franchise business model. Each business model has its own advantages and disadvantages. Starting a business from scratch has more disadvantages in branding as well as getting assistances from others than buying a franchise, whereas franchised business model take higher startup cost than starting a business from scratch. Therefore, before making decision to start a business from scratch or buy a franchise, entrepreneurs should consider their character, financial ability, creative needs and attitude to face with challenges to make the right decision.en_US
