The effectiveness of perceived risks to the tourist's return intention - A case study in Ho Chi Minh city
Abstract
The aim of this research is to explore the effects of risk factors to tourists’ destination satisfaction and the revisit intention of the tourists. According to the previous studies that relate to the tourists’ destination satisfaction and tourist return intention, the studies implied 6 independent variables that includes: Time Risk, Psychological Risk, Financial Risk, Social Risk, Health Risk and Equipment Risk with two dependent variables tourist’s destination satisfaction and tourists return intention.
The method that is mainly used in this research is quantitative approach. Besides that, to analyze the statistic number and test the effect of variables in the research, the exploratory analysis, multiple regression and path analysis techniques were applied. The results of this studies theoretically proved that the Tourists’ destination satisfaction mostly affects the Tourist return intention, also with Financial and Equipment risk and Health Risk. On the other hand, those remain factors have low contribution to the effects on the return intention of tourists.
In the conclusion, there are some limitation exist during the time conducting this studies, however, this study still brings meaningful recommendation for future researches. Especially, through this research, there are some reccomendations to improve the tourism in Ho Chi Minh City were provided to satisfy the tourists and enhance the return intention of them.
