dc.description.abstractGlobalization and rapidly access to information, products and services have brought the world so close that it is difficult to maintain the market without innovating in work practices to gain a competitive advantage compared to other countries. The purpose of this thesis is to illustrate the application of Six Sigma DMAIC (definition-measure-analyze-improve-control) method to minimize defects occurring in various processes in the garment industry. An attempt is made to introduce and implement DMAIC methodology in Garment Industry, which particularly is TEGACO 7 The objective of this thesis is to apply the Lean Six Sigma for Line 3 – Sewing Department and from there, it can be analyzed which are the redundancy occurred in Line 3 and then make improvement. Furthermore, the study also guides the use of a number of software applications, supports calculation, drawing diagrams, finding the best solutions to improve production systems such as Excel and Power Point.
