Digital Leadership And Multidimensional Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Mediating Effect Of Employee Empowerment And Affective Commitment
Abstract
This thesis focuses on the study of digital leadership in the Vietnamese context and its
direct and indirect relationship with the outcomes of employee empowerment, affective
commitment, multidimensional organizational citizenship behaviour. The scope of the
study is employees who have worked or are working in an organization/ enterprise that
is in the digitizing/ digitalization/ digital transformation stage or has applied technology
to support innovation in Ho Chi Minh (HCMC). The proposed theoretical model has
been tested by reliability test, EFA, CFA, SEM with a sample size of 391 valid
responses. Research has shown that digital leadership has a direct positive impact on
employee empowerment, employee empowerment has a direct positive impact on
affective commitment, and affective commitment has a direct positive impact on
multidimensional OCB. Some new findings of this study are the indirect effects of digital
leadership on affective commitment through employee empowerment; Indirect impact
of digital leadership on multidimensional OCB through empowerment and affective
commitment. Thereby, the author proposes to promote research and application of
digital leadership in the new era, as well as consider the distinction between OCB
individual and OCB-organization in future research
