T tourism is a new opportunity and trend that has the potential and ability to develop extremely strongly around the world, including Vietnam. However, the LGBT community and stories related to them receive little attention because there are still countless conflicting opinions. There are quite a few scientific research papers on this community, and the geographical area in Vietnam is even less. This study is set up to demonstrate that the future behavioral intentions of event participants will be influenced by the factors of sense of belonging. The Viet Pride Parade Festival was selected as a case study to concretize this topic. Methods/Approaches: Due to the peculiarity of this subject, we combined quantitative with qualitative research techniques to examine and take into account this psychological problem. The majority of responses were LGBT community members or supporters, who joined to Pride in Vietnam. Results: 22 face-to-face interviewers and 168 valid responses were analyzed and demonstrated that the integrated value of emotional bond and collective self-esteem factors positively affects behavioral intention to participate in LGBT events in the future. Significance: The study proposes an insight into the impact on the intention to return of LGBT events in Vietnam. In addition, the study also provides suggestions for LGBT tourism growth solutions for event organizers and destination marketing organizations. Limitations: Since there has not been much prior research, references to the theories are few, and if any, they are outdated. The research sample is limited in number, only focusing on exploiting many event attendees in Ho Chi Minh City.en_US
