Examine the recruitment effectiveness based on job performances: The case study of techcombank in Ho Chi Minh
Abstract
Nowadays, there are many banks in Vietnam, both local and foreign banks comparing to the past that lead banking become one of the fastest growing sectors in Vietnam. From that, employees work in banking also increase rapidly and the recruiters have more chance to hire an excellent candidates for their organization. But the question is that how can they choose the best one?
To measure the recruitment effectiveness, there are many metrics. But on this study only the quality of new hires would be analyzed carefully. This research was conducted to examine the recruitment effectiveness in Techcombank based on the performance of new tellers and reviewing the expectations of the supervisors. The research result will construct the performance appraisal for new tellers.
Data was conducted through the in-depth interview with the recruiters to discover the criteria to evaluate the candidates. After adjusting data, also the survey would be conducted with 103 respondents. From this result, the important and necessary criteria in evaluating the candidates and new hires will be constructed.
Although there are limitations of this study, this study is proposed with some practical implications and recommendations in order to improve the employee performance as well as the effectiveness of recruitment in Techcombank in Ho Chi
Minh City.
