dc.description.abstractFibrinolytic enzymes were discovered from various sources. The enzymes were reported not only to process plasminogen activator activity, but also to directly digest fibrin by limited proteolysis. This study aims to investigate the effects of various factors for high fibrinolytic enzyme production. Fibrinolytic enzyme was isolated from the culture supernatant of Bacillus subtilis with shrimp shell wastes and soybean as the sole carbon/nitrogen sources. The optimal volume, concentration of substrate were 100mL and 1% (w/v). The temperature and duration time for B.subtilis produced high fibrinolytic enzyme using shrimp shell powder as substrate were 30oC and 2 days, respectively and those using soybean flour used as substrate were 35oC and 6 days, respectively. The amount of fibrinolytic enzyme obtained using shrimp shell powder as substrate was higher than that using soybean flour as substrate. The fibrinolytic enzymes were produced with high activity may be considered as a new source for thrombolytic agents because of the value of economic and the strongly effects on medical.
