Production of raw eritadenine from mushroom shiitake
Abstract
The production of Eritadenine as raw biomaterial from the shiitake mushroom using pre-treatment method and methanol extraction was successfully investigated in this study. It has been found that at the concentration of methanol solution of 80%, ratio of 100 ground mess shiitake mushroom to methanol was 1:20, the extraction
of Eritadenine reached a highest value by HPLC analysis method. In addition, it is worth to mention that the amount of Eritadenine extracted from fresh mushroom (3.50mg/g) was higher than the amount of Eritadenine extracted from the dried one (3.25mg/g) in the same extracting conditions. In comparison with treatment at room temperature without using the pre-treatment method, the chemical consumption, the duration of the treatment, ash and protein residues was reduced significantly, whereas the Eritadenine recovery was improved.
