Study on the tetrodotoxin production from vibrio alginolyticus ATCC 14582
Abstract
Vibrio alginolyticus ATCC 14582 supported by ATCC have been cultured in the suitable, cheap medium to make use of fish industry’s waste that was fish meat wash to examine the TTX producing ability. Base on TLC and mouse bioassay, the present of TTX would be pre-detected, following by HPLC methods to quantify and qualify the TTX presenting in culture, combining to viability tests to figure out the relationship between growth and TTX producing. From that, the bacterial expressed the co-relationship between growth and TTX production due to different kinds of media under different temperature controls. It also contributed to answer some poisoned cases related to eat fishes.
