The Impact Of Corruption (Bribes To Government Officials) On Firms's Performance - Evidence From Vietnam
Abstract
Corruption, defined as the act of bribery, poses a significant
threat to the operations of companies. This study aims to examine the
negative impacts of corruption on firm performance, with a specific
focus on value-added. The study utilizes a fixed-effects model and data
from SMEs to analyze. Its findings imply that reducing corruption is
essential for the development of SMEs in Vietnam. The study provides
valuable insights into the effects of corruption on firm performance and
offers recommendations for preventing corruption and promoting
transparent and responsible business activities.
