This experiment studied the effect of supplementary lipid to improve the growth performance of barramundi fingerlings fed with low-lipid commercial pellets. Three treatments were organized with 5% and 8% of squid liver oil (S5, S8) and 8% of soybean oil (V8) incorporated into Grobest commercial pellets on dry weight basis. The control used Grobest pellets without any supplementary lipid. Each treatment and the control had four replicates, using 200-L plastic tanks . This research demonstrated that the growth rate of fingerlings in treatments supplemented with lipid were significantly higher (p<0.05). Moreover, soybean oil can be used in stead of squid oil as there was no difference between the S8 and V8 treatment. Similarly, FCR was highest in the control while lower in all the other treatments (p<0.05). Keyword : Barramundi, Lates Calcarifer, soybean oil , squid liver oil , FCR.en_US
