Incorporation of probiotics in feed to improve overall performance, feed conversion ratio, and microbiological components in gut of juveniles of the snubnose pompano (Trachinotus blockii Lacepede, 1801)

Abstract

This study was carried out to evaluate effects of probiotics on overall performance, feed conversion ratio, and gut's microflora of snubnose pompano seed (Trachinotus blochii Lacepede, 1801)... This result showed the need of study, producing, and using specific probiotics originated from fish's microflora in gut for growth improvements, cost reduction, and disease prevention of snubnose pompano. More future research should be done to produce and apply commercial probiotics specific for marine fish's seed production.
