dc.description.abstract | Subcutaneous injection of liquid silicone for cosmetic purposes is a fairly
common approach in Asian countries and Vietnam. Liquid silicone has not been
completely inert substance and caused serious consequences in terms of allergic
diseases of strange objectives as well as aesthetic for those who have been injected
this kind of alloplastic. The epidemy of tissue reactions and disorders evoked by
liquid silicone injected to various anatomical sites is still a question to continue to
investigate. Study on 100 patients that were admitted to Le Hanh Clinic and Cho
Ray Hospital to be operated with removal of liquid silicone injected into nasal tissue
for cosmetic purpose has arose the histology of lesions, clinical feature
manifestation of patients and types of biological reactions in human body. Those
objects were carried out based mainly on the anatomopathologic process, which
were comprised three critical staining methods for analyzing anatomopathologic
pattern of diseased tissue. Those classifications and evaluations of body reactions
against liquid silicone injected subcutaneously are the essential base for finding the
effective method for removal of siliconoma and reconstruction of the nasal pyramid.
Beside that, this study also raises the strictly recommendation of concerning silicone
using and treatment as well as contribution to prevention campaign against illegal
injection of liquid silicone. | en_US |
