This study aimed to evaluate anti-hyperglycemic activity of combined Ocimum basilicum and Perilla frutescens in mouse model. All male mice were induced by NAD (120 mg/kg) and STZ (40 mg/kg). Ocimum basilicum, Perilla frutescens and their combined aqueous extract were prepared for blood glucose level test on fasted diabetes mouse model. The blood glucose level was measured at 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 hours after the treatment of the aqueous extracts. Ocimum basilicum aqueous extracts 50mg/kg body weight decreased the blood glucose level up to 46.93% while Perilla frutescens extract (40 mg/kg body weight) reduced the blood glucose level up to 27.58%. The combined Ocimum basilicum and Perilla frutescens extract showed amazing reduction with 52.14% after 4 hours of administration (P<0.01). This finding suggests that these vegetables can be considered functional food in controlling blood glucose level. Key work: diabetes, hyperglycemic activity, Ocimum basilicum, Perilla frutescens, combined aqueous extract, blood glucose level, diabetes mouse modelen_US
