dc.description.abstractThis thesis focuses on channel assignment problem which involves binding each radio to a channel in such a way that efficient utilization of available channels can be achieved. Some basic concepts of WMNs are introduced in the first chapter. The contents of the 2nd chapter are the fundamentals of channel assignment for multiradio WMNs. We chose static channel assignment technique to implement for several WMNs which have different sizes. The chosen channel assignment algorithm is divided into 2 parts: defining the characteristics of a WMN by using Matlab software and solving the optimization problem by using LINGO software. The results are shown in the 4th chapter and some conclusions and future plans are discussed in the last chapter.en_US
