dc.description.abstractIn the modern life, convenience and security, which people desire for their house, are the most necessary elements. That is the reason why the smart home systems are getting more popular day by day. There are many kinds of smart home system, in this project, the designed system will help users control the devices and monitor the state of the house anywhere via Internet. By using the application of Mini-web-server, the system does not only allow users do this when they are away from their home through Internet, but also helps them save more money to build and require less energy to operate. Besides that, the wireless sensor network is also used in order to simplify the system, so that users can easily build a new one, as well as improving and repairing. The purpose of this project is to focus on the developing the firmware and hardware design for a smart home system employing wireless sensor network technology (ZigBee) and mini-web-server. All home appliances can be controlled and monitored via interfacing between ZigBee nodes based on smart home system. Using Mini-web-server and Internet, users can access to and control the smart home system.en_US
