dc.description.abstractA company always has to face with many opportunities and threats when external environment changes. Bien Hoa sugar Joint Stock Company is not beyond the rule. There are a lot of opportunities and threats the company has to deal with when Vietnam’s economy is going to jointly integrate further into global trading system. Besides the positive highlights such as the quality of material source is being improved, the illegal competition of contraband sugar is being under tighter control, etc..., there’re also the rising negative impacts example the fiercer competition when the government’s protection policy is being gradually loosened, oversupply situation is keep going on, etc... In this context, with the acknowledgement of strategy’s importance, the thesis mainly aims to propose the most priority strategy for the company’s operation and development. It is concluded from the application of strategic management theories and models such as SWOT analysis model, AHP model, Logical framework, and analysis related information about the changing in sugar industry, the company’s internal aspects and opinions of the experts in this sector. The selected strategy is based on the strengths, weaknesses of the company and the opportunities, threats which occur due to the changes of business environment. The feasibility of strategic options and their ability to achieve the company long-term goals are also mentioned and analyzed to select the most priority strategy. Although the research has reached its aims, there were some unavoidable limitations. First, due to the limited scope of work, the research did not offered a detailed implementation plan of the selected strategy for every department of the company at each stage and the procedure to test its performance. Second, owing to the limit of researching time and collectable information, the research did not conduct survey about opinions of the company’s customers and analyze the current strategy of the company. These restraints should be investigated in further researches.en_US
