| dc.description.abstract | The research was conducted to study the relationship between firm performance measured by using Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach, and firm value (measured by Tobin’ Q). Specifically, the aim of the study is to measure the impact of Customer Related perspective, Internal Business Process perspective, Perceptual Financial perspective, and Learning and Growth perspective on Tobin’s Q of non- financial companies. The research combined the primary data collected by using survey questionnaires and data driven from the financial statements of 226 firms listed in HOSE. The multiple linear regressions were used to explain the direction and strength of relationship between firm value and four firm performance perspectives above. The research results addressed that Customer Related perspective, Internal Business Process perspective, Learning and Growth perspective and Perceptual Financial perspective have positive impact on firms’ Tobin’s Q significantly with Beta coefficients of .119, .071, .079 and .079 respectively. The findings confirmed the consistency of performance measurement based on BSC in developing economy context such as Vietnam and bring in some managerial implications to Vietnamese firms.
