Supply chain network designing for lily flower in Kon Tum Province
Abstract
This thesis focuses on scheduling quay crane and yard equipment to increase the efficiency of the handling system in a seaport in central region. My objective is building a new plan which using the resources more efficiently than existing plan. There are two goals in my new plan: minimizing the ship serving time and maximizing the utilization of all resources in the seaport. In order to achieve these goals, I have to solve two subproblem: scheduling quay crane and scheduling yard equipment.
The first sub problem – scheduling quay crane - is to determine each quay crane will serve which bays of the ship. For this problem, I will build the mixed integer programming model to formulate the problem. The second sub problem – scheduling yard equipment is to determine a task sequence of all equipment serving the ship. Hybrid flow shop scheduling with setup time and blocking model is used to formulate the second problem. Both two sub problems are solved by CPLEX 12.6.2. Several scenarios of these problems will be tested to find the best scenario for applying in real life. Finally, all result from running model will be paraphrased in detail for the using of managers and workers.
