To analyze the influence of education system's quality to student satisfaction in university of economics and laws
Abstract
To analyze the influence of education system‟s quality to student satisfaction in University of Economics and Law, based on American Customer Satisfaction Index – ECSI, a study by G.V.Diamantis & V.K.Benos (Greece) and Guide to AUN Actual Quality Assessment, researcher proposed research model and hypotheses. Measurement scales were developed to measure constructs. Cronbach‟s Alpha, Exploring Factor Analysis (EFA) were used to test the model with the support of SPSS. The result of this study on the sample of 298 students of University of Economics and Law indicates that student satisfaction measurement scale includes five components: (1) Teaching Quality, (2) Administrative Support, (3) Tangibles, (4) Education Program, and (5) Database for Specialist research. Among them, UEL‟s student belief teaching quality and education program are the most important factors. Adminitrative support influences stronger on student satisfaction than tangibles and the last one is database for specialist research. The research then suggested that: In order to increase student satisfaction, University of Economics and Law should pay more attention to improve teaching quality; update education program; training staff; databases for deep reseach. There are no difference between Gender, Grade levels, Major to the satisfaction of the student. Some features were suggested to be included in the service such as: professors should add new teaching methods to attract and achieve higher efficiency; regularly organizes training and retraining staff to improve the working efficiency under the advanced approaches; regular updates and diverse number of new books; adjust the curriculum to integrate with practical work; Room simulation of Financial market frequently open, organize more topics for students and enterprises in order to maximize efficiency.
