dc.description.abstractIn recent years, the demand for 3D model in medical field is reported with a remarkable growth, especially with the modern technique such as X-ray Computed Tomography (X-ray CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), etc. Using the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), several of construction algorithms for 3D model had been developed, tested, implemented and each had its own unique advantages as well as downsides. Therefore, the arbitration of adopting construction algorithm could be laborious for individual who is intended to apply into practical application. To support and guidance people through these obstacles, this thesis introduces three favor algorithms, which are considered to be the most successful in implementation aspect with efficient performance and resources saving. Then, an application based on these algorithms and VTK library is constructed to aid the medical staffs and doctor in diagnostic and treatment of patientsen_US
