Breast cancer is a kind of malignant tumors, which is one of the most common cancers of women worldwide. Current diagnosis methods such as mammography, cell test or MRI are complicated and expensive. The demand for new, quick and convenient technique to detect breast cancer is considerable. Recently, study about interaction between bio-samples and polarized light received significant attention because of its potential for developing non-invasive detection methods. Based on the previous successful experimental results of bio-samples, which is collected by Stokes polarimetry and the Mueller matrix decomposition, we replicated the experiment using breast cancer cells to obtain effective linear birefringence (LB), linear dichroism (LD), circular birefringence (CB), circular dichroism (CD), linear depolarization (L-Dep), and circular depolarization (C-Dep) properties in this research. Although breast cancer cell has many other cell lines such as MDA-MB-231, NMU, Hs 343.T, we chose BT474 cell line because it is the primary cell line of the breast cancer and to presented the ductal carcinoma disease which is the invasive breast cancer type. Also, BT474 cell line due to the availability of them in our laboratory. This type of cell line appears in mammary gland and duct. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between linear dichroism LD and breast cancer cell densities. Keywords: Turbid Media, Breast Cancer cells, BT 474.en_US
