For the necessity of the machine utilization and the availability capacity in electronic manufacturing at Jabil Electronic Manufacturing Company, which can impact the production cost and the labor cost for machine operating time, this thesis focuses on the scheduling for the number of jobs in multiple parallel Surface Mounting lines at Jabil Electronic Manufacturing Company. Given the numbers of machine lines, jobs, processing and setup time the objective is to propose an optimal schedule to minimize the total completion time of jobs. The data is collected from the production floor and CPLEX is the software to perform the Mix integer mathematical model. Final result are verified with actual production plan to evaluate the effectiveness of the model in making job scheduling for the machines.
