dc.description.abstractThe thesis’s aim was completed because four amide derivatives of dipterocarpol were synthesized successfully from amine derivative of dipterocarpol and carboxylic acids. Moreover, amine derivative was also tested for anti-bacterial activity with Escherichia coli (gram negative) and Staphylococcus aureus (gram positive). The anti-bacterial drug is Gentamicin that was used as standard. At the same concentration that is 4 mg/ml, amine shows anti-bacterial characteristic, but amine’s antibacterial is weaker than Gentamicin. In the future, four synthesized amide derivatives need to be checked anti-bacterial property to contribute more ability of application for medical function.
