dc.description.abstractColeus Amboinicus Lour was selected for this project which aims to investigate the antioxidant, antibacterial, and wound healing activities supporting not only internal diseases but also helping to regenerate skin. Total Phenolic content (TPC) was estimated based on the principle of Folin-Ciocalteu method with the calibration curve built by gallic acid standard solution (R2 = 0.9951), the Ethanolic – Soxhlet, Ethanolic – Maceration, Acetone – Soxhlet, Acetone – Maceration. TPC values were calculated to be 53.137 ± 0.85 μg.GAE/mg, 40.784 ± 1.41 μg.GAE/mg, 58.388 ± 0.06 μg.GAE/mg, 54.771 ± 0.96 μg.GAE/mg, respectively. Total Flavonoid content (TFC) – which also presented to the compounds that had the antioxidant activity, was estimated by the aluminum chloride colorimetric with the regression line made up of Quercetin standard solution (R2 = 0.9947), at the results constructed after the experiment, the value of samples was Ethanolic – Soxhlet (84.031 ± 0.29 μg.QE/mg), Ethanolic – Maceration (93.094 ± 0.62 μg.QE/mg), Acetone – Soxhlet (124.656 ± 1.68 μg.QE/mg), Acetone – Maceration (133.719 ± 1.33 μg.QE/mg). The Antioxidant activity (DPPH) scavenging capacity of Coleus Amboinicus Lour was determined by IC50 value (half-maximal inhibitory concentration) with Acetone – Soxhlet Extraction having the lowest IC50 (0.596 ± 0.43 mg/ml) which exhibited the highest antioxidant activity. In the lozenges-making process, the desirable ratio of ingredients was estimated to be suitable for pediatric, geriatric, and dysphagia patients.en_US
