dc.description.abstract | Multi-carrier communication technologies are proposed to be promising modulation scheme for high data rate transmission in further wireless systems operating under double dispersive channel.
To combat against Inter-symbol Interference (ISI), in classic OFDM, a cyclic prefix is introduced to partition the frequency selective channel; however, the presence of cyclic prefix causes an insufficient used of spectrum. Another approach is filter bank technique (also called Filter Bank Multi Carrier (FBMC), where signal are transmitted with overlapping in both time and frequency domain. As long as certain conditions are retained, the signal at transmitter can be perfectly reconstructed at receiver with absence of the channel (or ideal channel). One of the FBMC techniques is Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OQAM). In this thesis, following the filter bank sutrcture proposed and presented by PHYDYAS in [1] and [2], we would like to analyze this structure and further, simulate the performance of OQAM in a communication environment with both Gaussian noise and Non-Gaussian noise (or man-made Noise). | en_US |
