dc.description.abstract | Microstrip or patch antennas are becoming increasingly useful because they can be printed directly onto a circuit board. This thesis project has the aim of designing the microstrip antenna with wide bandwidth and compact size by using two techniques: meandered ground plane and embedded slots. These two techniques will be combined to get wider bandwidth at the center operating frequency 2.45 GHz and the input impedance at this frequency is very close to 50 ohms, while other characterictics of the designed antenna such as radiation patterns, gain, directivity, and wave polarization will be kept acceptably. Keywords : Microstrip antennas, slots in ground plane, slots in patch, radiation patterns, impedance matching, CST. | en_US |
