Design a receiver circuit for 13.56 Mhz long range rfid reader
Abstract
Over the past serveral decades there have been a lot of research papers about
the technology and applications of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The latest
technologies has brought costs down and standards are being developed. At the
present, RFID is mainly used as a medium for serveral tasks such as library
management, tracking of persons and animals, toll collection and contactless
payment, machine readable travel documents and airport baggage tracking logistics.
One of the most important part of this technology is the reader. In this paper we will
provide data concerning the design and implementation of an improved version of
long range RFID Reader that uses the ISO-15693 communication protocol. This
reader is equipped with a power amplifier and a gate antenna. The existing reader
which developed from a class E power amplifier allows a reading range up to 40cm.
In order to increase this number, the receiver circuit from the amplifier to transceiver
IC will be improved.
