Firewall technology implementing and extending the firewall in Linux Iptables

Abstract

This thesis indicates that the firewall is sensitive to the number of rules, the type of filtering. When number of rules increase, we can defend many attacks’s method but the latency increases linearly. Conclusions have been given the important of training employees and apply firewall policies are always considered first if we want to build a security’s system.
