Exploiting iterative demapping and decoding for multiple access
Abstract
We exploit the IDD for multiple access in
this thesis and provide a variety of MATLAB software-based simulation results to
demonstrate the advantage of the new multiple access technique over the conventional
ones such as TDMA, FDMA, CDMA, etc., in which multiple users share system resources
for communications under a certain degree of wastefulness (e.g. each user only uses a
fraction of time (for TDMA), or a fraction of allocated transmission bandwidth (for
FDMA), or all time and allocated bandwidth but very large used bandwidth (for CDMA)).
Keywords: multiple access, iterative decoding and demapping, interleaver, modulation, fading channel, multi-user detection.
