Abstract
Although there are numerous options in designing structure of the high rise building. For this structure, I designed depend on the normal method that I have been studied in Reinforced Concrete Structure class. Further more, there are various theory in the dynamic load analysis (including wind and seismic) and a comparison is still needed.
The purpose of this research is to investigate strategic to design high rise building with the special component like transfer beam and to offer design recommendations. Moreover, this research leads to a comparison in dynamic component of Wind load there are differences in Vietnamese Standard and Eurocode and Seismic load.
All of the component were selected for investigation, including beam, transfer beam, wall, column, slab. This high-rise building is stay in Viet Nam so the wind load design following Vietnamese Standard Code. The seismic load was considered in Linear analysis and Non linear analysis Equivalent horizontal load.
In analysis and design structure, The transfer beam have big dimension when compared with the normal beam. So the Work Principle of transfer beam will be different with the normal beam. Especially the stress distribution of transfer beam was completely different with other beam. So, When calculating transfer beam the designer must notice not only the bending moment but also the shear force applied on it because the transfer beam have to resist the load from all column above. So, It is very easy to fail by shear force. In Vietnamese standard, the dynamic wind load base on the mode shape which is higher accuracy but require computer-aid. For seismic load, the elastic response analysis also based on the mode shapes which are considered Non-linear analysis. This describes closely to the actual behavior of structure but require a lot of calculation and only computer could analysis in a short period of time. The Linear-analysis assumes the stiffness of structure is the same in all direction and has advantages as wind load analysis in Eurocode.
