Nowadays, Web Services technology is quickly becoming the choice of middleware for application integration to provide interoperability among heterogeneous applications and components. This is due fact Web Services are based on a few open, simple, and standard protocols (e.g., XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI) and the ubiquitous Internet protocols, such as HTTP, for data and message transmission. Web services enable partners to exploit applications via the Internet. Services can be composed to build new and more complex ones with additional and more comprehensive functionality. The definitions, principles and techniques beyond Web Service are the focused topics of this thesis. Also, there is a demonstration for applying Web Service technology into a specific system - the student management system.en_US
