dc.description.abstract | To day, technology are increasingly applied in many fields such as science, medicine, biology,..… In medicine. Growing techniques developed in telemedicine system which focuses on the measurement and evaluation of vital parameters, such as ECG, heart rate, heart rate variability, Body Temperature, plethysmography. Technological innovations in the field of disease prevention and maintenance of patient health have enabled the evolution of fields such as monitoring systems by Smartphone-based wireless. And a wireless system to monitor patient's heart activities has been designed, implemented and tested.
The purpose of this report is introducing medical equipment called “Design of smartphone-based wireless body temperature monitoring system”. This equipment is designed in order to help parents prevent high fever which is a cause of meningitis and others complications which can lead to poliomyelitis or early death to their children. Another group of target users of this device is patients who are in a coma after accidents or surgeries. This would be an effective assistance for doctors to take care of and to help them to propose a suitable treatment process for their patients in order to prevent complications or unexpected situations. This report has two main parts which is about designing hardware and firmware. The hardware contains a boardcard and its function is temperature signal processing and transmitting that signal to the smartphone. Meanwhile, firmware is a mobile application coded based on Android operation system which is to receive the signal from the hardware and to display the patient’s temperature on the smartphone. The application on the phone could make the treatment process become easier and more convenient for doctors and patients relative to give a suitable treatment method at a right moment. In short, the report will illustrate about report process in detail including both hardware and firmware, and also advantages and disadvantages in order to improve and expand the project. | en_US |
