Development of the ECG signal analyzer software for detecting tachycardia - bradycardia - blockav1
Abstract
Electrocardiogram (ECG) illustrates the electrical activity in the heart, and is the most
important physiological parameter that gives the correct assessment regarding the
functioning of the heart. ECG is the graphical recording of the electrical activity of the
heart used for clinical diagnosis. This thesis has been devised to find a method for ECG
signal analysis, which is simple and has good accuracy to detect 3 common heart
diseases: Tachycardia, Bradycardia and Block AV1.
Many institute or person in the world has done this project. However, in Vietnam, there is
not many well-known software or device help people warning heart diseases. The aim of
my thesis is taking a chance to do a research about heart diseases and make the simple
software that can be used for detecting heart rate and warning 3 heart diseases.
In this thesis, I use Kaiser Window to filter the online signal. Then, we detect the P & R
peaks. As the result, we can calculate heart rate and warn heart diseases. The reason I
choose this topic is:
First, it gives me a chance to apply what I studied in Capstone to medical way. From my
research about heart diseases, the fact is heart diseases are the most reasons cause of
death. Second, I see so far this thesis can be upgrade to many level during the time to
develop product. It will be used as Vietnam medical devices in the future.
