dc.description.abstract | This study proposed the advancement of a low-cost, low-power, wearable, and reliable Electrocardiogram (ECG) device aiming at long-term patient monitoring. In this system, for giving a gadget that augments comfort and minimizes the foot shaped impression on the patient, the ADS1293 and CC2541 system-on-chip were utilized as the acquisition analog front-end, and as both the main control unit and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for data transmitting, respectively. The designed device has ability for detecting the Lead I, Lead II and V1 signals from the patient’s body. The gathered data will be framed and transmitted to a smart phone via Bluetooth. Then from the data of Lead I, Lead II, and V1 the inference of Lead III, Lead aVR, Lead aVL and Lead aVF was handled by the cell phone. After that, the received data will be processed and transmitted to a server that located in a particular healthcare center for further investigation or references.
In both clinical and research senses, the obtaining long-term data of the heart’s activities by the implemented wearable ECG devices of this project may provide significant improvements for signal quality, monitoring duration, and suitable therapy for arrhythmia evaluation and atrial fibrillation surveillance. | en_US |
