Developing the information management and connection between doctor and patient application via internet with QR code impement for ipad
Abstract
In medical field, patient data is very important and it needs to be looked up frequently, especially in an emergency or complicated treatment. Besides, the connection between doctors and patients is also important. In the rush hours of the hospital, patients come overload and doctors cannot do anything. People are more crowded and that means the data resources are becoming bigger, the overload situation will become recurrent.
Hospitals are overloaded with patient data and it is extremely difficult if doctor wants any data in the past. The purpose of this thesis is to design the information management and connection between doctor and patient application via internet with QR code implement for IPad, it helps both the patients and doctors saving times, money so that precise treatment could be given.
QR codes have been recently popular in developed country. The scope of use for QR codes really is huge, particularly for the marketing and advertising of products. However, this thing is not truly used on medical application.
The target users of the application are doctors, patients who have been authorized and had rights to access patient data. They can easily look up the data of the patients in anytime, any places with just an IPad that 3G or Wi-Fi mode is activated.
This application needs more advanced development about the user interface, structure and memory management. Besides, the huge patient data is also the big problem that needs to handle. Finally, this application could be developed to another platform like Android, Windows phone for expanding the range of use as the smart phone market is widely distributed.
