Zigbee wireless application for RFID door security system
Abstract
This thesis has three major purposes: (1) to establish a simple wireless sensor
network using two ZigBee enabled devices; (2) to incorporate the mentioned result
into a RFID security door; (3) to develop a computer program which will be able to
manage and display the information recorded by the RFID security door mentioned in
(2).
This study was conducted in Telecommunication Laboratory at International University, Ho Chi Minh City. Data and related devices for this study were supplied and collected with the help of our senior advisor.
In the first part, the details of ZigBee protocol and RFID theory are presented. These show how a ZigBee-enabled device probably functions and how to function a RFID security system. The thesis then depicts how to apply ZigBee into RFID system. Moreover, the thesis also mentions how we built a prototype to show the efficiency of ZigBee integrated system.
In conclusion, the empirical results of this study show that ZigBee technology is well suited to be incorporated into the RFID security system as a node of a wireless sensor network.
