Developing a warehouse management system (WMS) in ODOO

Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a business management software that provides functions to efficiently execute and manage business processes effectively. An ERP system is a suite of integrated applications that allows an organization or the individuals to collect, manage and handle data from business activities. There are many ERP systems such as SAP, Odoo, etc. Odoo is an Open Source Enterprise Resource Planning software that provides a set of applications which facilitate business processes and operations management of enterprises. Odoo is very powerful since it can be customizable. Unlike some other ERP systems like SAP that supplies all everything to the organization (including what are unnecessary for their business), the Odoo just give a few necessary modules so developers enable to modify the software regarding the specific needs of users. In reality, each organization has its own different and complicate business processes; as a result, the flexibility of Odoo has solved that issue. The main goal of this thesis is to discuss the Warehouse Management System in Odoo and some developments based on specific requirements.
