Studying the sale and purchase system in multi- company environment in ODOO

Abstract

In today business world, it is common that a medium or large enterprise consists of multiple subsidiaries or sub-companies in one country or more than two nations. Although each company has its own financial statements and inventory, multi-company and cross-border-company environment sometimes create operational complexity due to the need of sharing some business data with little variants. It is crucial that data are not duplicated or the amount of data should be minimized to ensure the efficiency and maintainability of the system. It is also possible that subsidiaries within the same enterprise trade with each other. Automating such transactions not only helps integrate data among business entities, but also reduce time and effort in processing intercompany transactions. In this thesis, a multi-company environment is implemented and it involves my contributions to the current odoo system, aiming to reduce some limitations and complexity of multi-company behaviors, automate and integrate intercompany transactions within an enterprise.
