Building a visualization based business intelligence

Abstract

Presently, the need for practical and effective business information is acknowledged for organizations. Therefore, business intelligence (BI) is a concept which refers to a strategic tool that is used in order to to help organizations to statistic and analysis sensible information and make more precious business decisions and also predictions. Visualization-based, which is an important factor in BI, present significant data in visual context by various types of charts such as pie, bar, line, point and maps. There are some libraries supporting for that visualization for BI using javascript such as D3.js, Raphael.js, Polymap.js and Highcharts.js. In this thesis, I prefer to use Highcharts as a data visualization API which provide a lot of good-looking and wellformed charts with various of types among others pie chart, bar chart, line chart, area chart, and maps, etc. The understanding in data-visualization API is approach as a main part for building this project, as well as, the concept of regression is necessary to extends many powerful features of BI visualization. The system in this thesis provides a BI visualization tool that present data base on user's requirement apply for dengue case in Tien Giang as an expirement. This system will help the staff in Tien Giang medical center can view the data in visual context .And it also allow user to analysis data in a proactive way.
