dc.description.abstractThis thesis outlines the structural design of a 12-story reinforced concrete apartment building following TCVN, ACI and EUROCODE. The structure system of the office building is a reinforced concrete frame with a one-way slab and two-ways slab and beam floor system. This thesis covers the design process including the calculation of the expected loads on the structure, the estimation of the column sizes, the design of the slab depth, the design of the slab reinforcement, the design of the rectangular beam reinforcement for both bending and shear and finally the design of the column reinforcement. Additionally, figures displaying the placement of the steel rebar in the structure are contained in the thesis. The details of the design can be found within the thesis.
