dc.description.abstractStructural design is the primary aspect of civil engineering. The very basic of construction of any building, residential house or dam, bridge, canal,… is designing. This thesis focus on designing four basic elements of structure: slabs, beams walls (columns) and foundation. For designing, architectural design of plan view, side view and floor layer is provided. Two types slab will be considered: traditional beam slab and flat slab. They will be calculated and design by combination of using SAFE and standard equations. Also, there is a weight comparison between two types and advantage of flat slab. Beams and walls will be calculated by Etabs. Designing walls by assuming moment resistant of boundary area then checking by interaction diagram. Foundation will be calculated by gathering forces at bottom of walls and using SAFE to analysis.en_US
