dc.description.abstract | The fuzzy logic proposed by Zadeh in 19965 was expected to an infusion of probability in dealing with imprecision. In 1995, Zadeh stated that probability theory and fuzzy logic was complementary rather than competitive. This thesis is to discuss the relationship of probability theory and fuzzy logic which would be take a significant role in the field of fuzzy set theory. Another problem mentioned in this study is constructing the membership function of a fuzzy set. A case study of International University - VNU is also examined to observe the appropriateness of membership function construction for each application.
