Applying Wireless Low Power Wan Technology In Smart Agriculture
Abstract
The agriculture industry has to deal with several challenges such as land shortage, the global climate change, the rising scarcity of water, the elimination on the fertilize uses. In Economy, price and market competition or diversity of products from outside of the country have made the farmer or even enterprises in Vietnam difficulty in economic aspects. With the technology development, the Internet of Things will not only solve these issues but also enhance the quantity and quality of productions by providing a real-time monitor in the crops, which allow professors or experienced farmer to diagnose and find solutions for any danger that may occur in the field. This thesis will investigate and implement a new wireless technology, LoRa module, for IoT platform. Besides that, the study will also use LoRa technology as a new method for the agriculture. There are many commerce products on the market giving the same solutions but still have some obstacles related to the power consumption, the range of transmission data and so on. Hence, LoRa module is considered a solution to those difficulties. The positive outcomes show that the IoT platform using LoRa module can apply and give stable results in many countries. This thesis will investigate the application of LoRa technology in farming for making the farm smart.
