dc.description.abstract | Software-defined networking (SDN) is a concept which decouple network control
and forwarding functions. In SDN framework, centralized control of data path elements is
enabled independently of the network technology to connect network devices. A mission
of SDN is programmable that can be used to automate network configuration. Network
function virtualization (NFV) has propose a way for decoupling software from hardware
and flexible network function deployment. In this study, I explore and research
programmability and control of virtual network functions for software defined networks.
My study approach NFV ideas to program and control virtual network functions. First
approached network function is Firewall on SDN controller. I would to like to proposal a
process to update firewall policy in a cluster controllers. The purpose is that avoids attacks
our network via firewall in the period of time when a SDN controller is down. Security is
the second virtual function in this study
