dc.description.abstract | This study aims to build a semantic medicine loop up tool that applies the ontology techology of semantic web. To achieve this, we use Protégé to build up a simple ontology for drug. Drugbank database is used as a data source to be imported into the ontology, next we run the Reasoner Engine to get more inferred data within the ontology. Then, we used SPARQL to query that database ontology. Users can enter a drug’s name or a disease using the interface, the system will transfer the input to SPARQL, execute it and display the result. If the drug can be found, the result not only provides its basic information but also other resourses that link to it and articles mentioning about that medical information. In some cases, the system also replies which drugs have also been mentioned in the same article. We believe that our research will provide a solid foundation for a lot followed up researches which hope to bring the semantic web ontology closer to users. | en_US |
