| dc.description.abstract | Studying plays an important role in everyone life. In the past, in order to learn,
students had to go for a long distance to get to their school. During the lesson, they also had to
write down important points to their notebook. There would be many problems if students lost
their notebook. It was very difficult to recollect knowledge when students could not find
them. Luckily, the technology has been developing quickly. Nowadays, there are many Elearning
platforms are released by different companies to support studying online. Instead of
going to school, students can stay at home and enjoy their learning. They can easily find and
store documents with the help of these platform.
Due to this creation, learning is becoming easier. Some platforms may be open
systems that allow everyone to attend online courses and pay the fee through several payment
methods, for instance, Udemy, Docebo, WizIQ, etc. Others may only support inside
universities, such as: Blackboard, Edusoft Web.
In this thesis, I will try to figure out how E-learning platforms help students in their
studying. Firstly, based on existing platforms, by reviewing each of them, I will state which
are the necessary functions. Secondly, I will develop a web application to support students in
their learning including all the important features. To ease the development process, this
application will be implemented just for supporting IT students in a specific university. It will
contain three main modules. The first module will be a forum that allows students to find out
solutions for their problems. The second module will be an E-learning platform that includes
many semesters, subjects, courses, and lectures. The last module is a management site for
