An investigation into finite- difference- time- domain (FDTD) to analyze communication antennas
Abstract
Maxwell’s equations are of basic importance for the totality of physical and electro technical phenomena, concerning the fields of classical electrodynamics, classical optics, the present radio, television, phone, and information-technologies. Computational electromagnetic is usually used to solve Maxwell’s equation. In this project, the computational electromagnetic used is Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD). This method is proper for complex antennas geometry, which is difficult to solve for other methods.
Samples of Resonant, Broadband, and Aperture antennas are proposed and carried out to analyze their radiation characteristic in this project. Radiation characteristic in
communication antennas will be computed to solve such as: gain, bandwidth and so on.
